Former President Obama strongly backed current President Biden despite Biden’s widely criticized performance in the 2024 presidential debate against former President Trump.
Barack Obama posted on Twitter on Saturday, acknowledging that “bad debate nights happen” but emphasizing that the election is a choice between Joe Biden, who has fought for ordinary people his whole life, and someone else who only cares about themselves.
Obama stated that the choice is between someone (Biden) who tells the truth, knows right from wrong, and is straight with the American people, versus someone else who lies for their own benefit.
Barack Obama wrote this in a post on his verified Twitter page on Saturday.
In his words, “Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself.
Between someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight — and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November.”
