A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN Femi Falana has alleged that the authorities had apprehended several individuals implicated in the crisis that led to the death of a police and a vigilante in Rivers state.
He lamented the inaction against individuals who had openly threatened mayhem on social media, noting that their threats were overlooked despite clear indications of impending trouble.
He emphasized the necessity of prosecuting these individuals within the bounds of legal and judicial protocols.
He said in an interview with Arise TV, ”The painful aspect of it is that before the violence, there were guys in the social media threatening to cause mayhem and nobody was arrested. Now violence did occur even though there was obvious signs.
