The Governor Said He Is In PDP But Those Who Won The LG Election Were In APP’ – Aaron Chukwuemeka

Hon. Chukwuemeka Aaron, Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State has highlighted his decades-long commitment to the PDP while questioning the loyalty of his critics. He denounced the reports that an ally of Governor Sim Fubara, Robinson Ewoh is the current PDP Chairman in the state.

In a recent broadcast by Symfoni TV, Hon Aaron detailed his extensive service record within the party structure. “I’ve never decamped from the PDP since 1999,” Aaron stated firmly. “I have served this party in different capacities; I’ve served as the LGA party secretary for 8 years, I’ve served as the party chairman for 12 years, and I’ve served as the deputy State chairman for 4 years, and presently I’m the state chairman of PDP.”

The chairman directly challenged his opponents’ party allegiances, particularly referencing recent local government elections. “Those of them that are fermenting problems, saying that this person is in this party, there are the people that I will call who are members of the APP,” he noted.

Hon. Aaron pointed out what he sees as inconsistencies in political affiliations by the Governor of Rivers state: “The governor said he is in PDP, but those who won the LG election were in APP. So, if you’re in PDP, this office was functioning, and they didn’t come here; they went and contested the election in APP.”

Concluding his defense, he questioned the legitimacy of his critics’ PDP membership: “Today, the purported chairman is an APP member. So, who is more PDP than I do?
