Momoh alleged that Governor Obaseki deflected criticism of bad governance onto the Federal Government while addressing protesters, ignoring the shared distribution of resources among federal, state, and local governments.
He emphasized that many state governors misuse federal relief efforts for personal political gain instead of genuinely addressing their state’s issues.

Momoh accused Governor Obaseki of rebagging the rice and distributing it under his own name, similar to actions taken by other state governors.
Momoh expected the governor to address local issues directly, such as building roads and solving erosion problems, rather than misusing federal relief for political purposes.
He emphasized the need for governors to genuinely address the problems within their states rather than shifting blame and misusing federal resources for personal gain.
