You’re Not The Only One Suffering President Tinubu Tells Nigerians

President Bola Tinubu has asserted that poverty does not only affect Nigerians; it affects people everywhere. He acknowledged that there is suffering and poverty in the country, but he insisted that the issues must be resolved.

Punch reported that he clarified that eliminating terrorism and banditry and enabling farmers to return to their farms are some of the strategies for combating suffering and poverty.

Tinubu made these remarks when he welcomed a group from the National Assembly to Lagos on Monday to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, headed the delegation together with Jibrin Barau, the Deputy Senate President, and Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.

“We must find a way to eliminate banditry and terrorism so that farmers can bring out food from the farmland.”

“If you do not have good roads to bring the food to the population, even if you grow the food and you are losing 60–70 percent to damages, you will pay the price.”

He urged Nigerians to adopt a different perspective on Nigeria if they wanted the country to succeed in overcoming its present problems.

“Why should we have people removing rail tracks and all that, stealing electric cables, and sabotaging the economy?”

“We must embrace the campaign to change our value system. We must tell our people that the challenge we face is for all of us to change our mindset about our country…..Discover More
