You Must’ve Heard That Members Of N/Assembly Has Fled The Country Due To Protest– Enyinnaya Abaribe

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, the former Senate leader, has refuted claims that National Assembly members are fleeing Nigeria in response to a planned nationwide protest. Representing the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for Abia South, Abaribe dismissed the allegations that senators are escaping to avoid rallies related to Nigeria’s rising living costs and economic difficulties.

At Chief Sam Nkire’s 70th birthday celebration in Abuja, Abaribe asserted that these rumors are untrue. He highlighted that he and many colleagues are staying in Nigeria despite the upcoming protests. The event also marked the launch of Nkire’s book, “The Pay Off Lines.”

Abaribe reassured the public of lawmakers’ commitment to tackling the nation’s challenges. He acknowledged the economic difficulties and the planned protest, stressing that legislators are preparing to meet and discuss national issues. He condemned the contrast between officials’ opulent lifestyles and the struggles of ordinary citizens, calling for greater accountability and focus on addressing Nigeria’s urgent problems.
