How Can Wike Say Nigerians Cannot Protest In Abuja, Is It A Family Inheritance? -Inibehe Effiong

Inibehe Effiong, a human rights lawyer, has addressed the upcoming protest in Nigeria.

In an interview with Arise TV, Effiong affirmed that people have the right to assemble and protest at Eagle Square in Abuja.

He noted that Eagle Square is a public facility and should not be restricted solely to political rallies.

Effiong also said that it shouldn’t be restricted to events by major parties like the APC and PDP.

Effiong criticized the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, for opposing the protests.

He argued that Wike’s position against allowing protests in Abuja would likely incite more people to participate.

In Inibehe Effiong’s words in a video (27:38), he said, “They keep asking who is sponsoring the protest. Wike is sponsoring the protest by coming out to say that people can’t protest, you are instigating people to come out.
