He Came With The Mindset Of Lagos; He Has No Sufficient Knowledge At The Nat’l Level – Ladan Salihu

Dr. Ladan Salihu, former Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, has raised concerns about President Bola Tinubu’s experience in leading the country at the national level.

In a recent interview, Dr. Salihu noted that while Tinubu’s credentials as a former Governor of Lagos State are often highlighted, there was a 12-year gap between his tenure in Lagos and his assumption of the presidency.

This gap, also known as an interregnum, occurred between the administrations of Fashola and Ambode, and was followed by another four years under Governor Sanwo-Olu.

Dr. Salihu suggested that this gap in leadership experience at the national level might have limited Tinubu’s understanding of leading a nation, and that he may be approaching the presidency with a mindset shaped by his experience in Lagos. However, Dr. Salihu clarified that this does not necessarily mean Tinubu is incompetent to lead Nigeria.

When people told us about the credentials of the President coming on board as a candidate and now as a President. They paraded his credentials leading Lagos but as at the time he left Lagos, there was a 12 year interregnum between Fashola and Ambode and another probably four years of Sanwo-Olu.

So there appears to have been a situation where we have a President that does not have the sufficient knowledge of leading a Nation at the National Level and coming with the mindset of Lagos but this is not to say that the President is not competent to lead Nigeria” He saidViêw_More
