Tinubu Condemns Bigotry But Harbors A Man Who Said Igbos Are Aliens In Yoruba Land- Kenneth Okonkwo

Legal practitioner and Labour Party member, Kenneth Okonkwo, has accused President Bola Tinubu of hypocrisy in his stance on ethnic bigotry.

In an interview with Channels Television, Okonkwo pointed out that Tinubu’s speech condemned ethnic bigotry, but he has failed to take action against his own media aide, Bayo Onanuga, who has made controversial statements about Igbos.

In a recent interview with Channels Television, Okonkwo quoted Tinubu’s speech, which warned against threatening a section of the country and emphasized that there is no place for ethnic bigotry in Nigeria.

However, Okonkwo argued that Tinubu’s inaction on Onanuga’s statements undermines his message. Onanuga had previously stated on Twitter that Igbos are aliens in Yoruba land and should not interfere with Lagos State politics.

Okonkwo criticized Tinubu for harboring Onanuga as a media aide despite his controversial statements. He argued that Tinubu’s failure to address Onanuga’s bigotry exposes his hypocrisy on the issue.
