They Protested Against Jonathan Because Of N20 Increase In Fuel, Now It’s N1000-Kenneth Okonkwo

Kenneth Okonkwo, a legal practitioner and member of the Labour Party, has criticized the current administration’s handling of the fuel subsidy removal, which has led to a drastic increase in fuel prices.

In an interview with Channels Television, Okonkwo highlighted the stark contrast between the 2012 protests against Goodluck Jonathan’s government over a 20 naira fuel price increase and the current situation.

Okonkwo noted that the recent removal of the fuel subsidy has caused the price of fuel to skyrocket from N195 to N1000 per liter, making it unaffordable for many Nigerians.

Moreover, he pointed out that fuel is scarce, and people have to spend hours at filling stations to buy fuel at an exorbitant price of N900 per liter.

They protested against Goodluck Jonathan because of a 20 naira increase in fuel, today they say purportedly that they have removed fuel subsidy that landed the price from 195 naira to 1000 naira and the funny thing is that is that it’s not even available.

People have to spend hours in the filling station to pay 900 naira and it’s not even available” He Said….Viêw_More
