In a recent statement, political activist Chris Nwaokobia has criticized President Bola Tinubu’s recent nationwide broadcast, accusing the speechwriters of being misleading and failing to reflect the president’s true intentions, as reported by DAILY POST.

Nwaokobia suggests that Tinubu is poorly advised and surrounded by individuals who do not accurately convey public dissatisfaction.

He criticized Tinubu’s speech addressing the EndBadGovernance protests, which began on August 1.

Nwaokobia argued that the speech lacked concrete promises and did not address key issues such as significant reforms, reducing governance costs, and eliminating waste.

In a statement released to DAILY POST on Sunday, Nwaokobia expressed disappointment that the speech did not make any announcements about necessary reforms or measures to address public concerns.

He believes that the speechwriters may have been misleading and failed to represent the president’s genuine views.

Nwaokobia stated that the president’s speech showed a disconnect from the reality of public anger and dissatisfaction.

He expressed concern that President Tinubu is surrounded by sycophants and hypocrites who are not providing honest feedback.

He also criticized the president for not being sensitive to the protesters’ demands and for speaking without adequately listening to their concerns.

“The person who wrote that speech may be utterly wicked, mischievous and treacherous because I do not believe that such is the mind of Mr. President. But what do I know?”

“Shame on the handlers of this Presidency. Shame on Mr President. Shame on the All Progressive Congress APC. Shame on all those who have direct access to Mr. President but cannot tell him the Truth. And shame to all those who undermine the extent to which an aggrieved people can go.“
