In a recent development, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), made a significant allegation regarding the ongoing protests. Wike, in a video shared by Channels TV, disclosed that he had received information indicating a senator’s role in supporting the protesters. According to Wike, the senator had allegedly arranged for 25 security agents to deliver food to those participating in the protests.

This act, he suggested, went beyond mere humanitarian assistance and veered into the territory of sponsorship.The Minister emphasized that providing food to protesters could be interpreted as endorsing their cause, which in this context, was against the current government.

He further stated that this kind of support could not be ignored and warranted further investigation. Wike assured that, at the appropriate time, security agencies would look into the senator’s actions. They would seek explanations regarding the nature of his involvement and the reasons behind his support for the protests.
