The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has commended the people of the south east region, for refusing to join the ongoing nationwide protest against bad leadership and economic hardship across the country, under Bola Tinubu’s led government.
While speaking, he made it known that the people of the south east listened to their appeal not to join the protest, noting that their wisdom in recognizing the potential danger of hijackers targeting peaceful demonstrators is commendable.
Furthermore, the Imo State governor made it known that peaceful protest is undoubtedly a right of the people, but the decision of the people of the south east to prioritize safety and stability showcases great prudence.
Gov Uzodimma made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Friday afternoon, while reacting to the ongoing nationwide protest.
Uzodimma went further and noted that it’s very unfortunate that those who contributed to the country’s current economic challenges are the ones sponsoring the protests instead of working with the federal government for resolution.
In addition, he made it known that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown compassion and determination in addressing the challenges he inherited from the previous administrations, thereby urging Nigerians to support President Tinubu, as he works towards a more prosperous future…..Viêw_More
