Trump Reveals Letter From Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas About Assassination Attempt-And His Reply

On Tuesday, Donald Trump revealed a letter he had received from Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. In the letter, Abbas denounced the assassination attempt on the Republican presidential candidate.

“Your Excellency,” began the short letter from Abbas to the 78-year-old former president. “It is with grave concern that I have received news and later on watched footage of your attempted assassination.”

Abbas concluded his missive from the West Bank by offering the families of those killed and wounded in the shooting his “thoughts” and wishing Trump “strength and safety.”

The former president shared the letter on Truth Social complete with his Sharpie scribblings below the Palestinian leader’s note.

“Mahmoud. So nice. Thank you. Everything will be good. Best wishes,” Trump’s response read.

In the social media post, the GOP nominee added that he is “Looking forward to seeing Bibi Netanyahu on Friday, and even more forward to achieving Peace in the Middle East!”

Trump is slated to meet with Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, two days after the Israeli prime minister’s address to a joint session of Congress.
