They Are Fighting The Highly Respected Oba Of Benin For Very Senseless Reasons’ -Adams Oshiomhole

A Former Governor of Edo State and Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District has blamed the PDP in Edo State for having conflicts with the revered Oba of Benin over trivial matters. He criticized the party for focusing on the King’s palace artifacts and accused them of demolishing hospitals and state libraries to construct supermarkets and shopping malls, which has led to public discontent.

He further alleged that the state government deceived the World Bank by showcasing only a few health centers to visiting consultants, resulting in misleadingly positive reports about the state’s healthcare. He also criticized the reliance on elaborate rhetoric by the opposition party, emphasizing that effective governance requires more than just eloquent speech. He argued that the essence of electability lies in practical performance rather than the eloquency of words.

He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”What is the reputation of PDP now in Edo State? It is zero. They are fighting the Highly respected Oba of Benin for very senseless reasons. They are busying themselves with the so-called artifacts on the King’s palace. They are demolishing hospitals to erect Supermarkets and malls.

They demolished a state library to construct a shopping mall. So people are very much aware of what is going on. And even as you would have noticed that few days back, the governor sacked the head of the health ministry because he has not performed.

Which means he has failed in the health sector. And I think they duped the world bank when they sent people to the state, those consultants only stayed in the capital and they showed them one or two health centers. And they went back to write a very lousy and beautiful reports that Edo best is there.

You know people can blow grammar but what it takes to be electable goes beyond grammar. And remember that at the heart of election is numbers, majority of the people in Edo State are no longer interested in government of big Grammar…..Viêw _More
