Protest: Nigerians Are More Important Than Group Of Scavengers Occupying Power- Dalung Blast Onanuga

Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung, has openly criticized President Bola Tinubu and his administration, referring to them as a “locust cabal” that prioritizes Nigeria’s wealth over its people. Dalung’s comments came in response to a statement by Bayo Onanuga, a presidential spokesperson, who alleged that a proposed nationwide protest against bad governance aims to destabilize the country.

In a post on his X handle, Dalung condemned Onanuga’s remarks as both uncharitable and wicked. He emphasized that the younger generation demanding good governance, accountability, and justice are more entitled to Nigeria than the current administration, which he described as a group of scavengers.

According to DAILY POST reports, Dalung said, “the generation of Nigerians demanding for good governance, accountability and justice are more entitled to Nigeria than the group of scavengers occupying power.” Dalung insisted that the protest is essential, aimed at holding those in power accountable for mismanaging Nigeria’s resources. He highlighted the contrast between ordinary Nigerians, who have no other homeland, and the political elite, who have alternative residences abroad.

“Make no mistake about it, we love our country but @officialABAT and his locust cabal love only the wealth of Nigeria,” Dalung asserted. He accused Tinubu and his administration of using divisive tactics to undermine the protests, which he believes will ultimately fail. According to Dalung, the only solution is for the government to meet the people’s demands for good governance. He dismissed fears of the protests leading to anarchy, suggesting such concerns are mere fabrications intended to avoid accountability. Dalung concluded by reiterating that the call for good governance is reasonable and justified…..Viêw _More
