He said they were on a trip from Washington DC to London when he asked Peter Obi the reason why he booked a hotel instead of his home in London. He said Peter Obi replied him by saying he doesn’t consider the place his home. He said Peter Obi told him that the only place he truly considers home is in Nigeria.

This resonated deeply with me, recalling my conversation with Mr. Peter Obi on our way from Washington DC to London in May 2024. I had asked why he booked a hotel for us, assuming he owned a home in London. His response, “I don’t consider that my place, except when my wife is there”.
He emphasized that the only place he truly considers home is in Nigeria.
