Former Edo State Commissioner for Information, Andrew Emwata, has stated that Godwin Obaseki completely changed his behavior towards some of his loyalists as soon as he won second tenure as the governor of Edo State.
Andrew Emwata made this known during an interview with a journalist on Arise Television. During the interview, Andrew Emwata said, “we stood by Godwin Obaseki but immediately he got re-elected, he became something else. He threw his deputy governor (Philip Shaibu) out of office despite the fact that he shares a joint ticket with him.”
“Just because Philip Shaibu had an aspiration, Goodwin Obaseki started the process of removing him from office illegally. Since August last year, Godwin Obaseki stopped Philip Shaibu’s allowances.
The right of freedom of religion of Philip Shaibu was violated because Godwin Obaseki closed the chapel he attended. None of the dictatorships we have in Africa is close to the one we are experiencing from the Edo State government…..Viêw_More
