We Are Aware Of Igboho’s Call To Liberate Southwest From Fulani jihadists- YCE

According to Vangaurd, the Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) has appealed to a Yoruba activist. The YCE Secretary General, Chief Oladipo Oyewole, stated, “YCE is aware of Igboho’s call for emancipation and liberation of the Southwest from Fulani jihadists and hegemony.”

However, the YCE urged caution. Oyewole explained, “The Constitution protects the interests of all Nigerians. The YCE wants to give Tinubu’s administration a chance to address the issue of the new Ministry of Livestock Development.”

The YCE advised the activist to wait and see the ministry’s effectiveness before taking any forceful action. Oyewole stated, “Igboho and other groups should wait to see the ministry’s effectiveness before evicting Fulanis from Yoruba land.”

Furthermore, the elders called on state governors to focus on strengthening security. Oyewole emphasized, “Governors, as security officers, should beef up security to ensure safety.”

The YCE is urging a measured approach, allowing the government’s new initiatives to unfold before considering actions against the Fulani presence in the Southwest….Viêw _More
