Saudi Arabia Wants To Fully Recognize Israel In Exchange For Arms, Nuclear Facility — Biden

According to Time od Israel reports, US President Joe Biden disclosed that Saudi Arabia is seeking to normalize relations with Israel, contingent upon security guarantees from the United States. In an interview on “360 with Speedy,” Biden revealed, “I got a call from the Saudis, they want to fully recognize Israel.”

While Riyadh has not publicly confirmed this desire, it has consistently stated that normalization with Israel hinges on the establishment of a Palestinian state—a condition that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has firmly rejected. Biden, however, did not address this Palestinian stipulation, instead emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s demand for US security assurances, particularly against potential threats from neighboring nations, likely alluding to Iran.

Biden elaborated that part of the deal would involve the US establishing and operating a civilian nuclear facility in Saudi Arabia, aiding the kingdom’s transition away from fossil fuels. This level of detail about the proposed defense guarantees, especially the nuclear aspect, marks a significant disclosure by any US official.
