In a recent video on Facebook, Pastor David Ibiyeomie has emphasized the importance of expressing gratitude to God for answered prayers, reminding believers not to forget their promises to God. In a recent sermon, he referenced the biblical story of the ten lepers who were cleansed by Jesus, noting that only one returned to give thanks.

He pointed out that during the Glory Reign Program, many people made numerous requests to God, promising to give thanks if their prayers were answered. However, he observed that often, people forget their promises once they receive what they prayed for.

He further used the example of women in labor, who often pray for a safe delivery with the promise of giving thanks once their baby is born. By acknowledging God’s blessings and keeping promises made during times of need, believers can strengthen their relationship with God and maintain a heart of thankfulness.

According to him, “Everytime God does anything for you, always learn to give Him thanks. In the scripture 10 lepers were cleansed but only one came to give thanks. Many of us during the Glory reign Program you made so many requests telling God that if he does that for you, you will thank him. But you haven’t thank him even after answers to prayers. Even when some women wants to deliver in the labour room, they will say ‘Lord if you deliver me I will give thanks’. But once they deliver they forget.
