In a recent statement, Bashir El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has shared his views on potential political changes in Nigeria, as reported by Vanguard.

On Wednesday, Bashir posted on his X handle, stating that no one is too powerful to be remove by voters.

He warned of possible upsets in the 2027 general elections and urged people to ignore threats and intimidations, underlining the importance of patience.

Bashir also suggested that international financial institutions like the IMF and World Bank would not be able to intervene when the time comes.

He dismissed the notion of political strategists having important influence, particularly referencing those based in Lagos.

In a later post, Bashir clarified that he did not mention specific names, but doubled down on his stance against what he sees as a failure of governance masked by ethnocentric political strategies.

He stated that no one would force him to support this perceived failure.
