When Wike Was Campaigning To Be Gov For Second Tenure, I Was The Spokesman -Darlington Orji

According to Independent Nigeria, Darlington Orji, the caretaker chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State, emphasized on the political structure in Rivers State.

He went on saying it should not be wielded as a tool to intimidate or control its people.

He stated that this structure was established by former governor Peter Odili and not by any subsequent political figures.

Orji commented on the tenure of Nyesom Wike, currently serving as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, noting that Wike has finished his term as governor and should step aside for the state’s progress.

Orji cautioned that any attempts by former legislators aligned with Wike to impeach the current governor, Sim Fubara, would face significant resistance from the people of Rivers State.

In Darlington Orji’s words, he said, “I’ve told you in clear terms that as at the time he (Wike) was campaigning to be the governor of Rivers State in second tenure, I was the spokesman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State and I joined the campaign in all the local governments….Discover _More
