The Edo State Government has criticized the APC Government for its destructive policies and deceitful tactics. Chris Nehikhare, the Edo State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, said that despite the devastating impact of the APC’s nine-year rule, the party continues to spread lies and propaganda to maintain its grip on power.
As reported by The PM News, Chris Nehikhare said, “Despite the devastation caused by the APC Government, the party and its members in the State have buried their heads in the sand and continue to gush out lies and propaganda to dampen the people’s desire to break free from the stranglehold by which the APC has shackled them for the past nine years.”
Nehikhare condemned the APC’s recent press conference, where they presented baseless fraud allegations against the State Government, as a “show of shame.” He highlighted the transparency and accountability of the current administration, which has prioritized responsible resource management.
Nehikhare emphasized the need to expose the APC’s harmful actions, which have pushed the economy to the brink of collapse. The sudden withdrawal of subsidy in 2023, caused widespread hardship, and the party’s continued taxation and suffocation of small businesses have further exacerbated the suffering of the Edo people and Nigerians at large.
He urged the authorities and the public to acknowledge the plight of the people and hold the APC accountable for its destructive policies.
