Martins Amaewhule-Led Assembly Lacks Locus To Serve Impeachment Notice On The Gov – Darlington Orji

The Caretaker Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Darlington Orji, has, during an interview on The Morning Show, an Arise Television Programme, insisted that the Martins Amaewhule-led Rivers State House of Assembly is not recognized by law; as he maintained that the Assembly cannot serve an impeachment notice on Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Mr. Orji had said, “First, the Martins-led Administration has – they lack the locus to serve impeachment notice on the Governor; as at today, they are not Members of Rivers State House of Assembly, by their own, for me – for the trouble they cause themselves. So they cannot serve impeachment notice on the Governor, and the Rivers people are waiting for that to happen, and we are going to resist it.

My sister don’t bother, for us, what is important is that the Governor is concentrating in developing Rivers State, and bringing up, you know, dividends of democracy. I have a right to go to Court to say please, the Chief Judge of Rivers State, don’t recognize these people, as long as we are concerned, they are not known to law, until their status is being pronounced by the Supreme Court, then we will know whether they are Members of Rivers State House of Assembly….Discover _More
