Shehu Sani Speaks On El-Rufai Working With Atiku In 2027, North Not Working With Southwest

Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kanuna Central, discussed a number of topics pertaining to the general elections of 2027. The former congressman noted that Atiku Abubakar, the vice president and presidential contender in the general elections of 2023, would prefer to collaborate with Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kanuna State, in the 2027 presidential contest. Shehu Sani expressed doubts about whether the two leaders will cooperate, but he is positive that there will be a realignment of forces. As reported by The Naija News. He continued by saying that will cooperate with a different region of the nation, which he did not identify.

“Well, I do not know whether they are working together or not, but I know that there will be a lot of realignment of forces and the ace, the card that will be played by the North is that of bringing all northerners together and then, getting an alliance with a section of the country other than the Southwest and then, see how that can garner votes to remove Tinubu out of power because in the equation of the North, out of the eight million votes that Tinubu has gotten, five million come from Northern Nigeria,” Sani said in the interview. He would stated.

“So, they want to see how they can remove these votes from him and there are a lot of issues which they are going to put up in the build-up to the 2027 campaign,” the former senator continued.

“And they are going to use a lot of issues, like moving the CBN offices to Lagos, having a lot of people from the Southwest appointed, and the unresolved insecurity in the North of Nigeria; these are all fundamental issues that they are going to take very seriously,” the Senator stated in an interview with Sunday Sun……Discover More
