In a video shared by Channels Television, Tony Okocha, Chairman of the Rivers State APC Caretaker Committee, emphasized that the recent takeover of local governments in Rivers State by hoodlums was not spontaneous but rather a carefully planned event.

He pointed out that Governor Fubara’s expression of hopelessness regarding the crisis underscores the urgent need for federal government intervention.

Okocha questioned whether the authorities must wait until all Rivers people are killed or harmed before decisive action is taken. He advocated for declaring a state of emergency as the necessary step to resolve the escalating crisis.
